VAL MAREMOLA TRAIL

Description
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Val Maremola Trail is divided into two races. The first is a non-competitive race of 14km with 700d + which takes place mainly in the Tovo San Giacomo area, in a short but tough ring. The second is the queen of 28km with 1600d + which starts from the Palazzetto di Tovo San Giacomo. A path that immediately climbs steeply towards the historic center of the "Poggio" and then descends towards the "Botassano" area (Borgio Verezzi). You return to go up through paths and mule tracks towards the Gorra di Finale Ligure hamlet, after passing the latter you head towards the Church of San Martino, behind which you descend along a technical singletrack towards the Sentiero dei Carri Matti which takes us above the ex quarry, from here you can enjoy a splendid view over the whole valley and the coast. Then go down the mule tracks that lead to the center of Verezzi until you reach Borgio; here we proceed by entering the Sentiero delle Ramate which leads to the so-called Quagliodromo del Monte Grosso. We are in the area between Tovo San Giacomo and Pietra Ligure, once at the top we proceed along various climbs and descents and then descend again towards Tovo San Giacomo. This is where the second part of the race begins, the hardest one because the legs have already covered about 20 km and the now famous “Bruxia Crava” is tackled, a 2.5 km climb with 250d +. Once at the top, the runners find a continuous up and down that leads to the last descent that ends on the Valmaremola river. We ford the river and tackle the last stretch of the race, about 3km, which finally leads to the finish![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
