DISCOVERING GREEN OASES AND TRACES OF AN ANCIENT PAST

Pietra offers many interesting walks even outside its historical centre. This guided tour, starting from Porta S. Caterina, will take you first to the Botanical Park, an enchanting, colorful, and fragrant garden where you can discover, thanks to the signage, the varied species on display as well as some interesting facts about the historical 'characters' that populate it.

You will then continue to the archaeological site of Rocca delle Fene following an easy ascent along the slopes of Mount Trabocchetto which offers a spectacular view of the sea. It was here, inside some of the caves, that the remains of the first human settlements dating back to the Neolithic period were found.
