On the 8th July the fireworks with soundtracks luglio is dedicated to the celebration for Saint Nicholas’ Miracle Day. On the 15th August fireworks for the Assumption Day celebrate the popular custom of Ferragosto Day.
Every year, the 8th July, Pietra Ligure celebrates the feast for Saint Nicholas’ Miracle. A great religious procession along the streets of the oldtown, in which many Brotherhoods from whole Liguria take part with their artistic crucifixes. Climax of the procession is the blessing of the sea.
At the end, the Major usually puts the town in Patron Saint’s care and the Bishop gives his Blessing to all people.
